Positive opinion:
Staff, very friendly & helpfull. We arrived early, receptionist tried to find us an alternate room to the one we had been allocated in order that we should check in - this we declined, we just left our luggage and went shopping. The room was very clean and comfortable. The dining room a bit cramped but this did not hinder our enjoyment of our food. This hotel I would recomend as would our friends who were with us. There are plenty of good restaurants locally, if one does not wish the short trip into the city

Positive opinion:

Good clean, friendly hotel in a good location. Free wireless internet and good buffet breakfast.
Negative opinion:
I was in a room at the top of the hotel so the internet in the room had a very poor signal strength.

Very clean and the night reception staff was very friendly and helpful.
Negative opinion:
There was no kettle or hot drink making facilities in the room, which was a little basic for the price. Not all members of staff were friendly.

Positive opinion:
Very close to Oktoberfest, all of the staff, with the exception of one cranky old man who worked the night shift, was *very* pleasant, helpful, polite and spoke English very well.
Negative opinion:
I will never stay at Hotel Bavaria again for one reason: there was one employee, an older, cranky man who worked at the desk late at night, was ridiculously rude and unprofessional. I had arranged for a double room and planned on staying there with 3 friends (of which 2 would sleep on the floor) - this has never been a problem for me at the many hotels Ive stayed at during my lifetime. The old man refused to allow more than 2 people in the room, which posed a problem for us. This couldve been handled in a more delicate, tactical fashion, but instead he actually had the audacity to call the cops on us! All of us abruptly left to avoid further confrontation. The next day, 2 of my friends were lucky enough to get a room at Hotel Krone, which is a hotel even closer to the Oktoberfest field for cheaper than Hotel Bavaria, AND, they allowed more than 2 people to stay in their double rooms!!! I was dissappointed to learn that I couldnt discontinue my reservation at Hotel Bavaria without a 90% cancellation fee, so we had to tolerate their high price and unpleasant service at night from cranky-McCrankerson. I will never recommend Hotel Bavaria to anyone, and will HIGHLY recommend Hotel Krone to anyone interested in staying in Munich, especially close to Oktoberfest.

Positive opinion:
Staff was friendly and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was good, shower was great. Room and bathroom were very clean. And the hotel was close to the Oktoberfest site so we got to watch the workers put the finishing touches on the tents. Walking distance from the main train station. Several good restaurants in the vicinity.
Negative opinion:
Room was a little small. The room was on the street so there was a lot of traffic noise. The duvets were too heavy for the warm temperatures during our stay.

Our stay at the Hotel Bavaria was most enjoyable, the staff were friendly and helpful, the frustuck was wunderbar and the rooms were tidy and comfortable. Yes, I would certainly stay in the Bavaria again without hesitation. Thank you.

Positive opinion:
Access to the U-Bahn and other downtown attractions. The breakfast was excellent also.
Negative opinion:
The use of the wireless internet was cumbersome to use. Would suggest setting up your wireless network which is not very expensive to do so. The single room I had was a bit small for 9 days. I was attending the mineral show at the Messestadt and accumulated a number of items that made the room cluttered after a few days.

A very clean, comfortable, well managed and friendly hotel located a short walk from either the U bahn and S bahn. The entire staff was very helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
