The moment you enter our building you will become aware of two things: firstly the atmosphere of a leading world-class luxury hotel in the heart of Munich. You'll notice something else, too: we are happy you have chosen to stay with us, you'll feel welcome here. No wonder we're able to welcome back many of our guests time and time again.

Since the day it first opened in 1841 to the present day, guests at this traditional Grand Hotel have always demanded the best. From queens to Hollywood legends to pop stars. It has the stylishness of ambience, the variety of interior design in the rooms and the exclusivity of furnishings to satisfy the most exacting standards. After all, you don't just want to feel happy here. You want to feel at home. And with our 360° panoramic images you can take a short tour through the various rooms of a unique luxury hotel right now.

Lobby
A writer once said that the lobby is the "heart of every hotel". Well if that's the case, then the Bayerischer Hof has several hearts at once: the Atrium with its glass dome, the modern falk's Bar in the Mirror Hall, and the Kamin Lounge. And the Empore at the gallery on the first floor. Perhaps this diversity explains why people from all over the world have always chosen to meet here. And to meet again tomorrow.

It's marvellous when a well-established five star hotel can always offer something new even to its regular guests. This is why the Bayerischer Hof offers you a choice of six different room styles. Admittedly it's not easy to decide. Having considered long and hard, if you still can't make up your mind there's only one thing for it: stay with us more often.

Rooms
Cosmopolitan R&B-Style
The interior with comfortable leather armchairs and handcrafted Wenge wood lamps by the French designer, Philippe Hurel gives these rooms a contemporary chic. In a sophisticated colour scheme with luxurious black, a rich red or exotic beige tones dominate the scene. Therefore R&B. The cosy atmosphere of the rooms with their cosmopolitan flair is enhanced by the precious fabrics by Manuel Canovas. And the spacious, sand-coloured marble-clad bathrooms.

Graf Pilati Style
These modern, elegant rooms, as well as many of the suites and the Palais Montgelas, were designed by the famous architect Siegward Graf Pilati.

Hans Minarik Style
These elegant rooms radiate discreet luxury. They were designed with love and good taste
by the architect Hans Minarik.

Colonial Style
Africa in the Bayerischer Hof: The redesigned and tastefully furnished colonial rooms are bright with the blazing colours of the savannah.

Country House Style
Sleep like a lord: the gradated colour tones from red to apricot impart a cheerful fresh atmosphere to the rooms, with a hint of southern climes. Quality wood and lovingly arranged flowers adorn the rooms, furnished in country house style.

Laura Ashley Style
Romanticism in warm colours: these rooms by English design company Laura Ashley will inspire you with their floral pastoral naive look. For devotees of timeless elegance and harmony.

Suites:
The Bayerischer Hof has 60 suites – so richly endowed we could almost open a hotel with these alone. The individual rooms are too different to describe them fully here. But just to give you an idea, from our luxury suite with its 360° view over the city to our exceptional themed suites, you'll find we provide ample opportunities for an extremely agreeable stay in Munich.

Classic Suites on the Panorama Floor
Welcome high above the roofs of Munich. Elegant and timelessly modern rooms designed by Count Siegward Pilati, a high degree of personal privacy and breathtaking views will make your stay unforgettable.

Bavarian Suites
Experience the genuine Munich flair in our traditional country house style suites, some even with open fireplace. Enjoy the Bavarian way of life over a cold wheat beer and crisp pretzels from our in-house bakery.

Princely Suites
Here you will be staying in a highly stylish ambience, surrounded by valuable antiques and noble, classical fabrics. Created by the famous designer Siegward Graf Pilati. The bathroom is finest marble and black granite. You'll find nothing lacking in this princely place.

5th Avenue
Suite 525: a sky full of light. A bold juxtaposition of precious woods and fabrics of gentle blue and lilac unite in peaceful harmony. Relax in your own whirlpool.

Paris Suite
Paris at the dawn of the 20th century. By the bed, the fountain softly splashes in this spacious suite. The art déco lamps shine a subdued light, delicately coloured roses scent the air. Suite no. 414-416 is perfect for a romantic tête-à-tête.

Paradise Island
Suite 535 will seduce you with the magic of South-East Asia. Exotic fruits and wild orchids. The scent of rare woods and the splendour of Hawaiian fabrics. A bathroom with glittering sea sand. Experience Hawaii, in the middle of Bavaria.

Panorama Floor:
From the moment you cross the threshold to the 7th floor, it’s immediately clear: the Panorama Floor has been created for guests who place great value on having their own, very personal space. To ensure you remain undisturbed, a private room complex is at your disposal. Here, in an exclusive environment of generously dimensioned suites designed by Siegward Graf Pilati, the highest levels of luxury come as standard. Elegant bathrooms, romantic fireplaces and protected roof terraces with breathtaking views. There’s simply nothing that hasn’t been thought of to guarantee you a relaxing stay.

Excellent service is our first aim. That's why you'll find, for example, a Reiseland travel agency and a Sixt car rental all inside the hotel. And when you have important office work to take care of, our modern Business Center is there for you.

The right setting is already there: you have a free choice from our 40 air-conditioned banqueting and meeting facilities. How about the impressive ballroom ensemble, for example, or the stunning salons in the Palais Montgelas? Or the Dachgarten (roof garden), offering a magnificent view?

Business Center
Some deals just can't wait. So the Bayerischer Hof has its own Business Center available for you to use. From e-mails, to the professional secretarial and translation service, to internet workstations and videoconferencing, you'll find everything you need for a successful day's work in Munich.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 8 AM to 7 PM and by arrangement.

Restaurants
We know: food is the way to a hotel guest's heart. So we made sure that some of the most famous kitchens in the city are to be found right here in the Bayerischer Hof. With our three restaurants, the choice is yours. We'll also be happy to welcome you to the Dachgarten (roof garden), where you can enjoy both the view out across the city and your breakfast.

Bars
Modesty is a virtue, even for a hotel like the Bayerischer Hof. But perhaps we might just allow ourselves to mention the incredible diversity of our six separate bars. It's reassuring to know that after an extended tour amidst all this nightlife, a luxurious bed awaits you.

Spa
Are you one of those people who would like to leave everyday life behind once in a while? Do you long to reconnect to your senses and unwind in a place dedicated solely to relaxation and regeneration? Then the Blue Spa is just what you’ve been waiting for.
High above the roofs of Munich, the Blue Spa is the crowning glory of the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. Here star architect Andrée Putman has created a unique oasis
in the midst of a lush roof garden. Our team extends you a very warm welcome.

Entertainment
We firmly believe that a truly first-class hotel should also aim to enrich the cultural life of the city it is part of. An ambitious goal, which the Bayerischer Hof fulfils in a variety of ways. Whether theatre, jazz concerts or vernissages, we put on an outstanding show. See for yourself.
Our very own "Komödie im Bayerischen Hof" theatre with 560 seats and a varied repertoire represents the best in light theatre. Here you can experience comic moments as well as dramatic scenes, while always being assured of the best entertainment with well-known German and international actors.

Night Club
It's not unusual for music stars to stay in a grand hotel. But for them actually to perform there certainly is. Our Night Club and our ballroom have seen stage performances by international jazz and blues musicians such as Marcus Miller, Pharoah Sanders, Al Jarreau, George Benson and Tito Puente. The current programme is available to download now.
Opening hours: Daily 10 PM to 3 AM

Piano Bar
A relaxed prelude always makes a good start to a pleasantly unfolding evening. Which is quite possibly why our Piano Bar enjoys such great popularity. After all, good music and good drinks create the ideal conditions for good conversations. Famous pianists entertain you on Friday.

The Bayerischer Hof is situated in the heart of the city, directly on Promenadeplatz and just a few minutes' walk from the Opera, Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) and Theatinerkirche (Theatine Church of St Cajetan). The exclusive shops in the area close to the hotel make for an ideal shopping trip. Those who prefer nature, meanwhile, will feel at home in the beautifully tended Hofgarten (Court Garden) looking onto the Staatskanzlei (Bavarian State Chancellery).
