HISTORY AND PRESTIGE
After being opened only eight years and nine months, the hotel opened to the public on April 15th, 1993, and on May 4th, 1993 the hotel was formally inaugurated. Camino Real Hotels has operated it from the beginning. Camino Real Acapulco Diamante has earned the reputation of being the best hotel in Acapulco because of the quality of its service and its magnificent facilities.

ARCHITECTURE
This magnificent hotel stands on one side of the Puerto Marqués Bay since May 1st, 1993. Its classic style is combined with traits from Mexican architecture.

The investment made for this great development was over 40 million dollars.
The hotel was built by the American architects Carrano and Wickenburg from New Cork and Mexican architects Atilio Bazaretti y Arnoldo Ochoa, who were inspired by the design of the great European hotels with a touch of the golden Riviera of the Mexican Pacific.

The Camino Real Acapulco Diamante hotel is a 33,000-meter property. It is built as a geometric waterfall of small buildings tucked into huge rocks. These buildings mingle with the tropical Nature and the Pacific Ocean.

Its many terraces arranged in several floors allow you to enjoy the impressive view of the turquoise blue bay as well as the emerald green vegetation surrounding it. The breathtaking view of Puerto Marqués can be appreciated from any area without having to leave the room.

The hotel has 157 rooms divided as follows:
- Standard rooms
27 spacious and comfortable rooms featuring marble floors, private balcony, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, hair dryer, vanity mirror, satellite TV with remote control, mini bar, electronic safe, a direct-dial long-distance telephone system, and a partial view of the bay.
- Superior rooms
97 spacious and comfortable rooms featuring marble floors, private balcony, individual air-conditioning control, ceiling fan, hair dryer, vanity mirror, satellite TV with remote control, mini bar, electronic safe, a direct-dial long-distance telephone system, and a spectacular view of Puerto Marqués bay.
- Camino Real Club rooms
We offer our guests an exclusive service and amenities. There are 22 spacious and comfortable rooms with a beautiful view of Puerto Marqués Bay. They include personalized registration, American style breakfast served in your room or in the Cabo Diamante restaurant, cocktails and hors de ouvres in the evening, bathrobe, special amenities, and exclusive Concierge service. They are located on the 5th floor of the hotel.
- Junior suite
There is only one. It offers a view of the bay, dining room, living room, bedroom, terrace, and special amenities. It is located at the end of the 2nd level (225).
- Master suites
We offer 6 Master Suites located on the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors of each building. They feature a magnificent view of the bay. They offer a terrace with a whirlpool tub.
- Camino Real suites
They are two-story suites located on the 5th floor. They offer a living room with TV and comfortable sofas and half bathroom on the first level. The second level features a bathroom with Jacuzzi, a solarium with a whirlpool, a dressing area, and a spacious bedroom with a king size bed.
For an additional cost, it can be connected to another two-double bedroom.
- Presidential suites
It is very similar to the Camino Real Suite, but varies in its décor, since it features fine woods apart from the marble, a chandelier at the entrance, and is a two-story suite located in the penthouse (9th floor). They offer a living room with TV and comfortable sofas and half bathroom on the first level. The second level features a spacious bedroom with a king size bed, a spectacular view of Puerto Marqués bay, solarium with a whirlpool, a dressing area, and an elegant bathroom. Suite 921 is connected to a Superior Room with a king size bed.

Elevators:
There are nine elevators, five for guests and four service elevators.

Restaurants and Bars:
CABO DIAMANTE
This restaurant with a capacity to accommodate 120 guests is decorated in an informal European style, offers an international menu and a casual atmosphere. It features air-conditioning and an outdoor terrace with an impressive view of Puerto Marqués bay.
LA VELA
This restaurant has the capacity to accommodate 70 persons. Its specialty is seafood, and it is located at sea level. It offers a Seafood Market so can select from it, and we serve the famous pescado a la talla a fine meat cuts. Open daily from 1:00 pm till 6:00 pm for lunch and from 6:00 pm till 11:00 pm for dinner.
POOL BAR
With a capacity for 100 persons, we offer light snacks, Mexican specialties, and your favorite drinks. We also service the pool and beach areas. Open 10:00 am till 6:00 pm.
LOBBY BAR
With a capacity for 64 persons, it is the perfect place to make friends or talk with your friends or couple. It offers a beautiful view of the bay and live piano music. Open from 10:00 am till midnight.

Camino Real Acapulco Diamante has three beautiful swimming pools with an oceanview, in different levels, with a waterfall and a volleyball net, for the enjoyment and pleasure of our guests.Towel stand open from 07:30 to 21:30 hrs.

We have two specialty restaurants for the most demanding palate: Cabo Diamante, with international cuisine and open from 07:00 to 23:00 hrs., and La Vela, a seafood restaurant where our specialty is the pescado a la talla. It is open from 13:00 to 18:00 hrs. (lunch) / from 18:00 to 23:00 hrs. (dinner). We also offer other food options, such as the Lobby Bar: Open 10:00 to 24:00 hrs., and the Pool Bar, where you will find Mexican specialty dishes. It is open from 10:00 to 18:00 hrs.

In the tobacco shop you will find a variety of beach clothes, sunscreens, regional candy, and typical crafts of Guerrero, among many other things.

We also offer room service, Taxi service, and 24-hour Medical service in case you need it.

Besides we have high speed internet access inside rooms and wireless internet in public areas.

With the Family Plan, to children under 12 can stay with their parents for free. We also offer the Club Travesuras program, which are complimentary for our guests, and where we offer activities for children between 4 and 11 years old, Saturdays and Sundays and during vacation season. Additionally, we offer a baby-sitting service that allows parents to truly relax during their stay.

A part of the charm of Camino Real Acapulco is the opportunity to fully enjoy Acapulco's most complete SPA: SPA Miguett. Tucked into the steep mountainside that overlooks the scenic bay of Puerto Marqués, is the exclusive touristic development Pichilingue-Diamante. The International Airport is just fifteen minutes South from the hotel, and the Costera Miguel Alemán and Acapulco's Downtown are located fifteen minutes North from the hotel.

Touristic Information:

ACAPULCO BEACHES
Puerto Marqués: It is located in Puerto Marqués bay, southeast from Acapulco. The exclusive development of Camino Real Acapulco Diamante is located on this beach. Surrounded by lush vegetation, its surf is peaceful. It is an excellent place for all types of water sports.
Caleta and Caletilla: These are the famous beaches of the classic Acapulco. They are naturally protected by Roqueta Island, which holds the currents of the Pacific Ocean. Therefore, their surf is calm and their sand soft.
La Roqueta: Located at the back of Roqueta Island and in front of Caleta and Caletilla. There is a dock for access. The ride to it is a tourist attraction, since it is made in boats with glass bottoms and this allows for a view of marine fauna and of the Virgin of Fishermen located at the bottom of the sea.
Langosta Beach: This is a small beach located near to the Quebrada, from where you can see the beginning of the open sea.
Tlacopanocha Beach: This beach is located next to the dock located in front of the zócalo. Its surf is calm and it is the place where the small fishing boats arrive after their daily job.
Tamarindos, Hornos, and Hornitos: They form a common front, located in the northwest part of the bay. They offer soft waves, fine sand, and innumerable palm trees. They are very busy in the mornings, since they are the fishermen's main activity center. They are also ideal for water sports.
Icacos Beach: It is the bay's largest beach and it is located to the South. The surf can be soft, but it also has a vigorous surf.
La Condesa: Strategically located at the center of the bay and in the heart of the golden zone. This privileged location makes it the bay's activity center. It is a corridor for beautiful, young, vital women that offer a permanent festive atmosphere. Its surf is strong, the incline is fast, and the sand is of a medium type.
Revolcadero: This is the perfect spot to admire the magnificence of the ocean. Located on the side of the highway to the airport, it is directly on the Pacific Ocean. Therefore, its surf is strong and continuous, as well as its undertow. This characteristic makes it dangerous. Its sand is soft and gray. It is several kilometers long and 100 to 200 meters wide. You can rent horses or surf boards or buy food there.
Barra Vieja: Barra Vieja beach is several kilometers long and 50 to 110 meters wide, depending on the area. Its sand is soft and light gray. It is open sea, and therefore the surf is continuous and varies from regular to strong. The incline is pronounced. Pie de la Cuesta: It is known worldwide for its spectacular sunsets. It is located 10 kilometers northeast of Acapulco. Due to its position regarding the ocean, its surf is exceptionally strong and tumultuous.
