Exclusive, unique, a one-of-a-kind experience – the Hotel im Wasserturm, international luxury hotel in what used to be Europe’s largest water tower, is one of the most unusual hotels in Germany. Classified as a heritage site, you will find an extraordinary interior design of timeless modernity behind its 130 year-old walls. Designed by the interior designer Andrée Putman, the first-class hotel was opened in 1990 and today presents itself in an elegant style.
The form of a tower – it’s a symbol for a kind of refuge, protection and safety that is not confining, but rather gives you a great sense of spaciousness and generosity. The imposing 11 meters high entrance hall with its catwalks alone will give you that impression. One step outside – and already you are right in the middle of the pulsating life of the city. One step back – and you feel safe in your “own” four walls.

DELUXE ROOM
Inspired by the geometry of the water tower, the cylinder and circle are distinctive stylistic elements of the interior design. Blond woods contrast with the rough original brickwork, while light elements of coarsely ground glass create transparency.
JUNIOR SUITE
Generosity spawns well-being – in our junior suites with separate sleeping and living quarters on one level and many small courtesies in the tradition of a classic Grand Hotel.
MAISONETTE SUITE
Exclusiveness and well-being on two floors, surrounded by custom-made furniture. Wrought-iron spiral staircases or stairs behind floor-to-ceiling window walls lead to the upper floors with sleeping quarter and one bathroom each.
SUITES
Spread over two floors, the hotel suites are very luxurious, exclusive and comfortable, with large chandeliers, built-in bar and music system, kitchenette as well as video surveillance at the entrance. The bathroom offers a little extra with whirlpool, TV and telephone.
With its 170 m2 on two floors, the Presidential Suite lets you experience spaciousness in a very special way. It features two adjoining bedrooms, two generous bathrooms and an extra large living room.
