Welcome to the Hotel Atlantic Kempinski Hamburg
Since it opened its doors almost a century ago in 1909, discerning travellers have appreciated the great Hanseatic tradition of the Hotel Atlantic Kempinski Hamburg. Ultimate comfort, perfect service and uncompromising culinary excellence: tradition demands our efforts to result in nothing less. The fact that perfection often lies in the little things, we consider even the smallest detail important.
The Hotel Atlantic Kempinski is one of the world's leading hotels, inseparably linked to Hamburg’s history and social life since it first opened in 1909, as a Grand Hotel for passengers with bookings on famous luxury ocean liners. The Hotel Atlantic Kempinski's snow-white façade is a local landmark and a favoured venue for festivals, fashion shows and international conferences. The Who's Who of Hamburg and the world gathers to celebrate festive occasions in the hotel's exceptionally beautiful banqueting halls.
A breath of fresh air on the shores of Hamburg's lake Alster
For demanding travellers a first-class address is just as important as perfect service, love of detail, exclusive ambiance and luxury. It is not surprising, therefore, that the Hotel Atlantic, one of the few true Grand Hotels of our age, has been successfully cultivating its worldwide reputation as one of the world's foremost hotel addresses for almost 100 years now.
With spectacular offerings such as the ultra-cool BMW suite, the lavish Sea Cloud Suite, the Club Atlantic and the Tsao Yang restaurant serving genuine Chinese cuisine in stylish ambiance, the Hotel Atlantic manages to combine innovation with tradition in its own inimitable way.
Executive Chef Sven Büttner is widely seen as one of the architects of this successful blend of the modern and the classical. His unusual creations have gone down well with regular guests and since word has spread, many new patrons are flocking to the Atlantic Restaurant.
In 2004 the hotel revealed its "PrivateMax", the first private cinema in a German Grand Hotel. Long-term resident and German rock music legend Udo Lindenberg uses it often as a home cinema - though of course the PrivateMax is fully available to hotel guests and corporate clients.
The winds of change have certainly brought a breath of fresh air to Hamburg's lake Alster!

BMW Suite
In December 2002, the Hotel Atlantic Kempinski Hamburg and BMW Group Branch Hamburg presented the exclusive world premier of the new BMW Suite. The BMW Suite is located on the third floor of the hotel, directly under the suite known as the ‘James Bond Suite’, in which scenes from ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’ were filmed.
The designers of the suites implemented a harmonious concept, combining the existing architecture of high ceilings and stucco with design, light and the materials from BMW limousines. The particular characteristics of the décor are silver-grey velour, walls and ceilings in a delicate tone of grey, a special Xenon light bar system, luxury chromed lounges in anthracite drapery, glassware and hand-made leather panels and glassware.
The playful use of the colours of the BMW world can be found in every detail of the 80 square metres suite. Even the bolstered up leather panels of the walk-in cupboard and the bed remind with discreet yet typical odour of the exclusive fitting of a deluxe automobile.
The BMW suite is composed of a bedroom, a sitting room with views over lake Alster, a dressing room with walk-in cupboard and a bathroom in the hotel’s trademark colours of black, white and chrome
Sea Cloud Suite

A combination of red, yellow and dark wood generates a smooth, warm atmosphere and precious materials and fabrics harmonise with stylish furniture and accessories.
